Daniel L. Dufner is General Manager, John Deere Electronic Solutions, a position he has held since September 2019. He is responsible for leading the global operations for John Deere’s Electronic Solutions, a division of Deere and Company that develops and produces solutions to industries that require quality electronics which operate in harsh or extreme environments.
Dan has worked for John Deere for over 25 years, most of that time supporting product development. Through his career, he has had the opportunity to work on Large Tractors Including testing, manufacturing, design, product planning and program management; spent 3 years in China leading tractor and combine development; returned to the US to support Crop Harvesting products and spent 4 years leading the development of Hay and Forage products. In 2016, Dan returned to Waterloo as Global Manager, Large Tractor Engineering where he led the development for Large Tractors.
Dan graduated in 1995 from the University of North Dakota with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1999, Dan earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa. Passions that began in childhood include antique John Deere tractors, racing and tractor pulling. He enjoys sharing these hobbies with his wife and four children.
